NECOP Equipment Updated

We have purchased and put into use new equipment in the last several months. Through a grant from the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice we were able to purchase 8 new batteries for the Motorola radios we have been using since the Patrol’s inception, 5 new Motorola radios to be used in areas that might experience reception and transmission issues, and 4 new rooftop magnetic mounted high gain antennas to be used along with the new radios by patrollers from the Belair-Edison, Frankford, Lower Lauarville, and Edor Gardens Lakeside areas. This equipment has significantly improved our ability to communicate with each other and the police officer, who serves as the Patrol’s liaison with the Baltimore Police Department.

This is the first step in the replacement of all our communications equipment. We are consistently seeking funding to improve the technology of the equipment we are using. If you would like to donate to this effort, you can send a check to HARBEL at 5807 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD 21214 and in the memo section of your check write; “NECOP.”
